I believe in Tim Tebow

I’ve come to believe in Tim Tebow, but not for what he does on a football field, which is still three parts Dr. Jekyll…
Elly Got Groove
Colleen and I have a very funny little daughter. There’s this song “Forever” by Chris Brown (Have you heard of it? oh you have? cool) that Elly LOVES to dance to. Thanks to our buddy Lee, we got this video of Elly doing a kind of a ‘pop it’ kind of groove! You can’t hear the sound very well, but the video shows it all! I couldn’t breath...

We are all YoYo's
Why in the world do I find myself intrigued by adding things to my life to make it more busy? MySpace for example. When it first came out was, at that time, great! It was new and interesting. Then it got so cluttered with stuff. Then everyone said forget this, we’re going to FaceBook. Then facebook got cluttered, and it’s been a back and forth process of simplifying, adding, taking...
Chaos 2011
It’s 2012, wow. I can’t believe how fast things fly by. I will say this, last year was one of the hardest/busiest/stressful years I think I’ve ever gone through in a lot of ways. We went through a foreclosure, moved to two different apartments, still learning how to be a dad, and many other obstacles.
I can smile though. With all the chaos in 2011, there were really good things that happened...

Reality today.
For the past couple of days, I have been so burdened with the thought of what could happen to Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani. A man who was (to summarize it) sentenced to execution because he refused to recant his Christian faith in Iran.
Today I sat out in beautiful weather at lunch time and I just couldn’t stop thinking about how free we are here in America. As I sat there, I came...

Happy Birthday Elly! 1st year of Joy! :)
As I sit here next to you, I can’t believe it’s been a year Elianna. You are so beautiful, and I can’t believe the blessing you’ve been to your mommy and I! I hear you snore right now and it’s so beautiful. You picked up the earnest sinus gene. ha Sorry. It’s not fun I know, but I promise I’ll always suck those boogies right out of your cute little...

Tools are absolutely useless, unless…
used by a crafter.
Have you ever prayed asking God to be a ‘vessel’? To be used by him, a tool that can contribute to His will?
I know I have, and yet, I find myself at times frozen with fear when I know I’m called to do something. Like talk to someone who looks lonely that you don’t even know across the street. It’s easy to talk to a lonely friend, or family...

true motives.
Have you ever thought about the things we do? What is our desired outcome of the choices we make? Are we honestly selfless when helping others with their needs, or is there a bit of hope that our actions of ‘love’ will benefit us in the end? Do we ‘network’ with new possible friend’s to invest our lives into, or is it an attempt to add to our contact rolodex another...

Writings on the plane:
I think there is a reason God gave us eyes that couldn’t see ourselves naturally. In this way, we see others rather than ourselves. We are dependent on a mirror to help our selves at times but we are dependent on God to help us help others. If looking at ourselves were so important, our eyes would be on our hands I guess? Obviously, looking ‘inward’ into our life is necessary....

The other day at work, I snuck up on this doves nest that is right in front of our office! Thanks to the iPhones incredibly tiny video camera, I was able to sneak my phone up for a peak at a dove chilling! I think I have a future with National Geographic!
